Is this me?

Is this really who I am?

Abandoned in a doorway,

I was just in a trash can.

Is this really me,

Can anyone live like this?

When all I ever wanted,

Was to belong and have a purpose.

What happened to me,

When I was vulnerable last night?

Who did what,

And did I put up a fight?

Is this me,

Deflated on 55th Street?

Is this how I end,

Just me and the concrete?
