Shades of Light

Light, like the truth, can be manipulated. It can be illuminated and misdirected and – with enough effort – obscured by darkness. There is light in the apartment of every New Yorker, with natural light being the most desired and most expensive kind of light available. But all of us need light.

The lamps in this photo reveal our need for light, and for truth, from many different angles and different directions. Perhaps the New Yorker who discarded these lamps needed more a new kind of light in their lives; one that would reveal to them a new path forward, towards their personal truth. Godspeed whoever owned these lamps. Follow your light.
